Cyfrowe Archiwum Archidiecezji Krakowskiej – cyfrowe zbiory kościelne i genealogiczne

Cyfrowe Archiwum Archidiecezji Krakowskiej (CAAK) to internetowy portal udostępniający zdigitalizowane materiały pochodzące z archiwów kościelnych. Projekt został zrealizowany przez Pracownię Inwentaryzacji i Digitalizacji Zabytków Uniwersytetu Papieskiego Jana Pawła II w Krakowie. Jego celem jest zabezpieczenie cennych dokumentów historycznych oraz umożliwienie korzystania z nich przez Internet. Portal skierowany jest między innymi do historyków, genealogów, regionalistów, naukowców oraz wszystkich osób zainteresowanych historią Kościoła i lokalnych społeczności.

Dla osób zajmujących się genealogią CAAK jest szczególnie interesujący ze względu na dostęp do historycznych dokumentów kościelnych. W zasobach można odnaleźć między innymi księgi metrykalne zawierające zapisy dotyczące chrztów, małżeństw i zgonów. Przykładem materiałów prezentowanych w portalu są XVII-wieczne księgi metrykalne parafii w Kozach, zawierające wpisy dotyczące urodzonych i zawieranych małżeństw.

Portal obejmuje zasoby kilku instytucji kościelnych. Są to Archiwum Kurii Metropolitalnej w Krakowie, Archiwum Archidiecezji Lwowskiej, Archiwum Diecezji Bielsko-Żywieckiej oraz Archiwum Krakowskiej Kapituły Katedralnej.
